Back in 2002 we decided to take our guitar teachers in Scottsdale and Phoenix to a whole new level. Over 20 years later, we’re still elevating guitar lessons with an innovative, engaging, productive and FUN approach.

Meet Our Guitar Instructors
Billy Cioffi, a 35-year veteran of the grueling and magnificent Los Angeles music scene, performed with icons such as Chuck Berry and Bo Diddly. He spent years as the director of the Universal Ampitheater. Arizona School of Music since 2006.
Degrees from Eastman School of Music, Master's and Doctorate from ASU. Very down-to-earth and popular instructor.

Our Expertise
You won’t find a better lineup of guitar instructors in Phoenix or Scottsdale, or even in Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Desert Ridge or the surrounding areas for that matter. We love working with brand-new beginners all the way up to pros.
What about performances? Oh, yes. You’ll find a performance opportunity nearly every month at Arizona School of Music. From Open Mic Nights and Recitals to public performances at nursing homes, malls and even Mesa Arts Center, we’ve got it covered. We’re proud of our Scottsdale performance venue, The B Side. And if recording is your jam – we’ve got our own in-house recording studio: Big Mike’s.
Our guitar teachers in Scottsdale and Phoenix are second to none. Guitar lessons at ASM will take brand-new beginners to professional musicians in just six weeks! Ok – actually not. But that doesn’t stop all the YouTube videos from making ridiculous claims like that. We work to see each student progress at their own pace, no matter what pace that is. We work with total beginners to the most advanced students.
At ASM we strive to make guitar lessons fun AND productive. And we don’t just do guitar. We also do ukulele lessons, bass lessons and banjo, mandolin, dobro and more!
Each teacher wants to see your student progress, brim with confidence, impress friends at school, play in the talent show, perform on stage and enjoy music for the rest of their lives. Our goal is to see each student achieve their goals!
