Brandon Watkins

Brandon began his musical journey here in the Valley at 12 years old taking lessons and developed a life-long passion for guitar. Today you can find him recording and songwriting for various artists and projects ranging from lo-fi hip-hop all the way to heavy metal. He sits in as a session guitarist on a weekly basis and is set apart by his ability to communicate, problem solve, and work effectively with individuals from vastly different personal and musical backgrounds.
Brandon’s expertise is in the development of the core fundamental principles that allow musicians of all ages to adapt to any musical situation. In addition to being an amazing guitarist and instructor, Brandon is very down-to-earth and approachable. He has loads of patience for the beginning students and can take the experienced student to a whole new level.
In April of 2022, Brandon left behind a full-time career with Amazon to pursue his real passion: teaching others how to make music. We’re thrilled to have him as a part of the Kirk’s Studio (now Arizona School of Music) team.
