Bill is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, music educator, and performer with over 30 years of experience playing guitar and piano. His musical foundation began in early childhood with the piano and guitar, expanding into brass instruments like the trumpet and baritone during his school marching and concert band years. He has training in music theory, harmony, composition, and ear training. Bill enjoys all styles of music including classical, country, pop, classic rock and blues.
As a performer, Bill has spent decades as a lead guitarist across several vibrant music scenes. He got his start at 19 with the Northeastern Ohio band Tumbleweed before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he performed with Plum Pudding and recorded an album with the Tune Buckets. Moving to Phoenix, he remained active in the Phoenix music community, performing with groups like Mid-life Crisis and Take 2.
In addition to performing, Bill is a dedicated music instructor proficient in piano, guitar, ukulele, and banjo. He is passionate about working with students of all levels who share a genuine enthusiasm for music, focusing on helping them find both fun and inspiration in their learning journey. Bill holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees.
