Joel Wayne Rodriguez – Instructor

Joel Rodriguez began his musical journey on stage at age 15, starting out on drums and bass before transitioning to guitar at 16. Finding a love for guitar, he took lessons for two years to master scales, modes, and soloing, which massively boosted his playing abilities. Though he considers himself a self-taught player who is always learning new things along the way, those lessons made a huge impact.
Today, Joel plays in a hard rock/heavy metal band and co-writes all of their music. He truly loves teaching and watching his students progress. Outside of metal, Joel enjoys a wide variety of music including blues rock, jazz, and pop.

In spite of the fact that he looks a little ominous, Joel is extremely approachable, down-to-earth, friendly and fun.

He can sing rock, metal, and blues, and has been told he sounds exactly like Bon Scott from ACDC.

His older brother also has long hair and plays in a heavy metal band.
