Jacob H.
Jacob is a diverse vocalist and sound engineer based in Chandler, Arizona.
Recently graduated ASU with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, he independently studied Vocal Performance and extensively trained both his mind and voice at the same time. From soaring tenor notes to the depths of the bass clef, he aspires to use the full range of his instrument.
Having performed for well over a decade now, he has traveled the United States competing in choral competitions both as a soloist and as a member of the ensemble. This has stretched across several genres including Barbershop, Classical, Jazz, Gospel, and many more. He has worked as a singer and vocal percussionist with the Phoenicians Barbershop Chorus, nearly every choral ensemble at Arizona State University, and even a few acapella groups on top of his solo work. Through his dedication to vocal excellence and artistry, he strives to express musicality to all that attend.
Jacob has been teaching music since 2022 for students both independently and in groups. His favorite role was as a conductor/director of ASU’s Outreach Choir. Here, he trained volunteers of any experience to rehearse and perform songs at retirement homes around the Tempe/Mesa area to a performative level.
Through an open mind, and a deep understanding of the voice, he was able to expand this passion into something that had a deep community impact in an organization that is still running to this day. His favorite part about teaching music is to see the freedom students get to experience when they are in control of their instruments.

– He composes a
capella covers in his free time.
– His favorite food is a plate of carne asada fries.
– In high school, he had a perfect solo score of 60/60 in his audition to the Arizona All-State Choir.
